Wilmington Trust Names Director of Captive Management Services Media Contact: Bill Benintende
Ms. Di Pietro is responsible for managing the bookkeeping,
regulatory reporting, and other administrative functions that Wilmington
Trust performs for captive insurance companies through its office in Charleston.
She also oversees Wilmington Trust’s team of captive insurance management
professionals there. Ms. Di Pietro reports directly to Patrick Theriault,
managing director of Wilmington Trust Captive Management Services. “We are thrilled to have such a proven and experienced
captive management leader join our team,” Mr. Theriault said. “We
look forward to Becky’s positive contribution to our captive management
program in South Carolina and throughout the many jurisdictions in which
we manage captive insurance companies.” Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, Ms. Di Pietro served
as deputy managing director with Aon Insurance Managers in North Charleston,
South Carolina. Previously, she held several financial management and
leadership positions, including corporate controller, assistant treasurer,
and manager of accounting operations for industrial companies with operations
in South Carolina, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Ms. Di Pietro holds an MBA from St. Joseph’s University
and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Alvernia College. She
is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
(AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and
the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Captive insurance companies are insurance companies that
are owned by the organization(s) they insure. Typically formed by organizations
that wish to better manage the cost and administration of their insurance
