Phil Cameron Joins SPARTA Insurance Company as VP of Marketing

Hartford, CT, July 17, 2008: SPARTA Insurance Company is pleased to announce that Phil Cameron, CPCU has been hired as Vice President of Marketing. His responsibilities include all aspects of business development for new and existing customers across the United States and select captive domiciles. Phil reports to Brian First, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

"Phil's strong background in marketing and underwriting, particularly with larger insureds and complex group captive structures, provides invaluable expertise as we continue to execute SPARTA's business model," commented Mr. First. Prior to joining SPARTA, Mr. Cameron worked at Discover Re, a Travelers Company, where he was a Sr. Marketing Executive after serving in several marketing and underwriting positions. He graduated with Honors from Hamilton College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
