Munich Re America HealthCare announces new Chief Underwriting Officer and new Chief Actuary Munich Re America HealthCare (MRAHC), one of the nation’s largest providers of healthcare risk management solutions, has announced the promotion of Richard Phillips to the position of Chief Underwriting Officer. Mr. Phillips, previously Underwriting Manager for first dollar medical business, joined MRAHC in 1998 and has over 20 years of experience in the life and health insurance industry. He received his Fellowship of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation in 1994, and became a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) in 1993. Additionally, it was announced that Nicholas Potenza, previously Vice President, Actuarial Services, has been promoted to the position of Chief Actuary. Mr. Potenza joined MRAHC in 1999 as an actuarial analyst.
