Mr. DeWulf has an extensive background in captive consulting operations and insurance brokerage. Prior to joining Captive Resources (CRI) in 2001, he spent time as a senior producer for a major insurer and as a broker for a large retail brokerage.
During his 22 years with CRI, Mr. DeWulf has been instrumental in forming 10 group captives, both heterogeneous and homogeneous. Currently, he has direct oversight responsibilities for five group captive clients with total premium in excess of $450 million.
Mr. DeWulf has extensive experience providing strategic consulting services to group captives and has presided over or participated in more than 120 group captive board meetings during his tenure with CRI. In addition, he leads a team of senior executives responsible for commutations and novations of individual captive historical loss experience. Since 2018, the team has closed 90-plus policy years of captive liabilities for various captives.
Mr. DeWulf earned the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
