Mr. Paszek has experience with actuarial studies for captives, self-insureds, and traditional insurance companies involving loss reserving, loss cost projections, risk margin calculations, simulation methods, and commercial lines ratemaking. He also works with funding and reserve analyses for single-parent captives that write coverage for enterprise risks.
Mr. Paszek serves as project manager for multiple group captives and insurance companies, performing both interim and year-end reserve analyses, and yearly funding analyses. He is responsible for the preparation of Statements of Actuarial Opinion and also produces estimates of unpaid claims liabilities and funding projections.
In addition, Mr. Paszek develops simulation applications that determine risk transfer in reinsurance contracts consistent with Statement of Standard Accounting Practice No. 62, as well as simulation applications that calculate risk margins using company-specific data. Further, he has assisted in the development of several models used for loss fund projections and unpaid claims estimates.
Mr. Paszek holds the Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) designations.
