Arch Re Promotes Trio to Key Leadership

Arch Reinsurance Group recently announced the promotion of three of its senior executives to key roles within the company. Effective April 1, 2024, Jerome Halgan, Vanessa Hardy Pickering, and Lester Pun will assume new responsibilities.

Mr. Halgan, with Arch Reinsurance Ltd. since 2009, will take on the role of president and chief underwriting officer of Arch Reinsurance Group. In addition to his current position as CEO of Arch Re Ltd., Mr. Halgan will now oversee underwriting strategy, operations, and approach across the entire organization.

Ms. Pickering, who joined Arch in 2021, has been appointed as the CFO of Arch Reinsurance Group. In her new capacity, she will collaborate closely with reinsurance CFOs throughout the company to shape the future direction of the finance department.

With 2 decades of actuarial and operational experience, Mr. Pun will assume the position of chief operating officer of Arch Reinsurance Group. In this role, he will spearhead the execution of key transformation projects, including the oversight and support of the company's data strategy initiative. Mr. Pun joined Arch in 2018 and most recently served as chief actuary of Arch Re Ltd.
