Arsenal Grows Alternative Market Reach with New Vermont Office

Captive insurance manager Arsenal Insurance Management is opening a new office in Vermont, the largest domestic captive domicile.
"With this new presence, Arsenal will establish even closer ties with our Vermont and North American clients. This move will help Arsenal's continued to growth in alternative market solutions," Arsenal President Norman Chandler said in a statement.
Arsenal, which was founded in 2006, is headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, and also has offices in Brentwood, Tennessee; Marathon, Florida; and New York City. It joins the already considerable number—20—of captive managers with Vermont offices.
Arsenal's office will be in Burlington, which is Vermont's largest city.
With 580 captives at the end of last year, Vermont, which passed its original captive statute in 1981 and has modified the statute many times since then, is the largest domestic domicile.
