Artex Rebranding Its Cell Captive Facilities as Artex Axcell

November 22, 2023 |

Artex will rebrand the names of all of its cell captive facilities to Artex Axcell over the next several months. The global cell facility manager said the change is intended to increase efficiency and bring higher levels of service to clients seeking an alternative risk transfer solution that demands less time, investment, and resources.

"The creation of Artex Axcell is the result of a rationalization effort that will be phased across jurisdictions and will drive a consistent global approach," Peter Mullen, global CEO of Artex, said in a statement. "The new cell facility name is designed to highlight our best-in-class offering and build upon the strength and reputation of the Artex brand to entities across the [United States], Cayman, Bermuda, and Guernsey."

The Artex statement said that the new name for its cell facilities, Artex Axcell, is derived from the words "accelerate" and "cell" and represents a united global approach to the company's clients.

Those clients include both organizations looking to lower their total cost of risk and take greater control of their insurance programs than is possible in the traditional insurance market, as well as capital market investors seeking a transformer structure, Artex said.

Artex Risk Solutions, Inc., is Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.'s captive and alternative risk transfer solutions subsidiary.
