Ascot Names Mark Totolos US Captive Solutions Leader

Ascot has appointed Mark Totolos to the newly created position of senior vice president, Captive Solutions, Ascot US.
As US captive solutions leader, Mr. Totolos will be part of Ascot's portfolio solutions group and will report to Tony Lyons, head of portfolio solutions. He will be responsible for setting and communicating the vision, value proposition, and long-term business strategy for Ascot's new Captive Solutions portfolio.
Mr. Totolos joins Ascot with more than 15 years of experience in the specialty insurance industry, most recently working at Skyward Specialty Insurance Company where he served as senior vice president, head of captives and programs. While at Skyward, Mr. Totolos was responsible for managing the Captive and Program divisions, ensuring profitable growth and providing specialty solutions for their trading partners.
Previously, Mr. Totolos spent time at Hanover Insurance Group subsidiary AIX Group and Harleysville Insurance Company/Nationwide in roles of increasing responsibility in the underwriting and captive insurance spaces. He is an alumnus of the University of Massachusetts and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Reinsurance professional designations.
