The Bermuda Captive Conference will return to its June schedule in 2025, bringing together industry leaders, risk managers, and service providers to discuss the evolving role of captive insurance. Now in its 21st year, the event will take place June 9–11 at the Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club.

According to a recent statement from the Bermuda Captive Network, the conference will explore economic pressures, climate challenges, and technological advancements affecting captives under the theme, "Reimagining Risk in a Changing World."

"The Bermuda Captive Conference has always been more than just an industry event—it's a forum for meaningful discussions that drive the evolution of captive insurance," Bermuda Captive Conference Chair and Aon Bermuda Managing Director Séadna Kirwan said.

The agenda features sessions on Bermuda's role as a leading captive jurisdiction, macroeconomic shifts, climate risks, and artificial intelligence-driven innovations. Highlights include the following.

  • Bermuda—The Jurisdiction of Choice. Regulatory experts and industry leaders discuss why Bermuda remains a top destination for captives.
  • The Fronting Edge. Examining how captives can expand global reach through strong partnerships.
  • Flood, Wind & Fire. A look at climate-related risks and captive solutions.
  • Disruptive Technology in Insurance. Artificial intelligence's impact on risk management and digital transformation.
  • Economic Crossroads. A panel of economists discusses inflation, interest rates, and economic trends.

Per the statement, networking remains a major focus, with extended networking lunches sponsored by Milliman, power breakfasts sponsored by Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, and longer networking breaks sponsored by Oppenheimer & Co. and Performa. The conference will also feature evening social events, including the PwC Bermuda-sponsored Opening Reception and Aon's Beach Bash at Sinky Bay.

BermudAir has been named the official airline partner, offering direct flights from major US and Canadian cities with discounted fares for attendees. The Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club is offering special rates for conference delegates, though availability is limited.
