CICA 2025 Conference Calls for Innovative Captive Insurance Proposals
August 12, 2024
The CICA 2025 International Conference, themed "Captives—Better Solutions for Tomorrow's Risks," invites both members and nonmembers to submit proposals for educational sessions by 6:00 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, August 23.
The conference will take place March 9–11, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa.
Captive insurance continues to thrive amidst challenging market conditions, providing creative solutions for emerging risks, economic volatility, and catastrophic events. CICA's domicile-neutral conference offers a platform for sharing experiences, best practices, and innovative strategies.
Proposals are sought on various topics, including employee benefits, medical stop loss, claims, and reinsurance. Additionally, insights on leadership, team coaching, performance management, and choosing service providers are encouraged. CICA emphasizes creativity, innovation, and inclusivity in enhancing captive insurance strategies.
Submissions should feature the following.
- A risk manager or captive owner as a primary presenter
- Original, forward-looking content with specific, detailed insights
- A direct, explanatory title reflecting the session's focus
- A diverse panel, with speakers varied in age, gender, race, location, and thought
- Alternative presentation formats, such as talk shows, TED talks, or interactive case studies
CICA prioritizes international perspectives, professional development, and fostering a supportive community. Proposals will be evaluated on quality, relevance, creativity, and clarity. All sessions, lasting 50 minutes, must include at least one captive owner or risk manager, and submissions must be complete with proposed speakers.
Please see CICA's website for additional submission tips and a link to the proposal submission.
