David Spratt Joins USA Risk Group as Senior Vice President

David Spratt has joined captive management firm USA Risk Group as senior vice president to serve as a subject matter expert to its clients and prospects. Mr. Spratt has held a variety of consultancy and chief financial officer (CFO) roles in and around the insurance business. His knowledge and skills include all aspects of accounting and finance, strategy development, operations, risk management, business continuity planning, disaster recovery, and cyber insurance.
Previously, Mr. Spratt served as the CFO for captive business at Marsh in Bermuda and worked with large risk pool entities as vice president of finance for Aon Cayman. He also led Canadian start-up activities as the CFO for Integro Insurance Brokers.
As a principal at the actuarial and risk management consulting firm Dion Durrell & Associates in Toronto, Mr. Spratt was responsible for the financial management of insurance reciprocals and acted as a client consultant for alternative risk management. His experience also includes a number of years with Deloitte Consulting in Canada, Australia, and the United States, where he most recently led the insurance practice within the strategy and operations/finance group in Toronto. At IBM in Sydney, he led the risk consulting practice, focusing on smarter claims, analytics, and antifraud solutions.

Mr. Spratt will manage many of USA Risk Group's key captive clients and will oversee the delivery of excellent client service in all of the jurisdictions in which the company operates. This includes developing, managing, and implementing a quality assurance and control process for the company, as well as creating new captive business opportunities and building a referral network.
Mr. Spratt said, "The nature of the risks facing our clients is changing dramatically on a global scale and I believe that captive insurance solutions can play an important role in effectively managing these changing risks."
