Grainne Richmond Appointed EVP—Head of Captives at Aon Bermuda

Aon PLC has named captive expert Grainne Richmond as executive vice president—head of captives in Aon's Bermuda office.

"I look forward to working with the wealth of diverse talent and experience not only in the Aon Bermuda office but also globally," Ms. Richmond said in a statement posted on LinkedIn.

Most recently, Ms. Richmond worked as vice president in Strategic Risk Solutions' Hamilton, Bermuda, office. Earlier, she was a vice president at Dyna Management Services Ltd., as well as an assistant for the Bermuda Insurance Institute. She has also served in the leadership of the Bermuda Insurance Managers Association as both president and secretary.

At the end of 2021, Bermuda was home to 670 captives, according to Business Insurance. The domicile licensed 17 captive insurance companies in 2021, according to the Bermuda Monetary Authority's 2021 annual report.
