Guy Carpenter Adds 3 New Members to Its Executive Committee

Guy Carpenter has appointed three new members—Neil Mayer, Lara Mowery, and John Crichton—to its executive committee.
Mr. Mayer has been appointed chief operating officer for Guy Carpenter. In his new role, he will provide oversight of central operations, client support services, marketing and communications, and data strategy teams. He also will lead the firm's operating committee.
Mr. Mayer previously held the position of chief operating officer, North America, where he collaborated with Guy Carpenter's North American leadership to execute strategy and deliver profitable growth in the region. Before his North American leadership role, Mr. Mayer was Guy Carpenter's global head of strategy & transformation, where he worked closely with the executive committee to define and implement the company's strategic direction. He'd also previously served as a senior member of the Marsh & McLennan M&A/corporate development team.
Ms. Mowery has been appointed to the newly created position of global head of distribution, overseeing Guy Carpenter's placement and distribution strategy. In this role, she'll set standards for client/broker/reinsurer interactions and have vision into all Guy Carpenter systems and tools that drive market interactions. Most recently, Ms. Mowery served as head of the company's Global Property Center of Excellence, where she led thought leadership and tactical execution of property initiatives worldwide.
Mr. Crichton, Guy Carpenter's chief information officer, also joins the firm's executive committee. He is responsible for leading Guy Carpenter's global technical organization and has been instrumental in reorganizing and enhancing the technology function. He has also been responsible for the development of a target architecture and application road maps to support the delivery of client and colleague experiences, analytics and advisory, and distribution.
