HDI Global United Kingdom and Ireland has named Dan Sammons as captives manager, effective February 3, 2025.

Mr. Sammons joins HDI from AIG, where he held several roles in the alternative risk transfer and captive underwriting units, most recently serving as head of alternative risk solutions for the United Kingdom. In this newly created role, he will leverage his expertise in international programs, captives, and alternative risk transfer to support HDI's long-term strategic growth.

He will report to Oliver Davies, chief distribution officer at HDI Global United Kingdom and Ireland.

"Captives are a core part of HDI's extensive value proposition. I am thrilled to welcome Dan to HDI to lead our Captives growth strategy across the UK and Ireland and further cement HDI's position as a global leader in captives and alternative risk transfer," Mr. Davies said.

HDI Global SE operates in more than 175 countries through its global network of branches, subsidiaries, affiliates, and partners.
