Heather McClure Joins Aon as Healthcare Practice Chief Risk Adviser

Heather McClure has joined Aon plc as chief risk adviser for Aon's healthcare practice. Ms. McClure, who specializes in legal issues in the healthcare space, most recently was chief risk officer for OU Medicine at the University of Oklahoma.

At OU Medicine, Ms. McClure was responsible for the combined operations of the risk, claims, and insurance divisions for all entities of the health system, as well as more than 2,500 faculty physicians, resident physicians, and medical students.

While at OU Medicine, Ms. McClure also served as chief legal officer and vice president of OU Medicine's captive insurance company, Academic Physicians Insurance Company. Earlier this year, she was elected to the Captive Insurance Companies Association Board of Directors and is a past member of the board of the Vermont Captive Insurance Association.

In her role as chief risk adviser to Aon's healthcare practice, Ms. McClure, who is based in Dallas, will bring strategic leadership to Aon's healthcare clients and deliver innovative solutions to solve the most pressing industry challenges, an Aon statement said.
