Registration Now Open for Asian Captive Conference 2024 in Kuala Lumpur

Labuan IBFC and the Labuan International Insurance Association have announced that the Asian Captive Conference (ACC) 2024 will take place on September 19, 2024, at the Sime Darby Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Themed "Asian Anchors: Leading the Way in Captive Innovation," the event will bring together global leaders in the captive insurance industry to explore issues and trends shaping self-insurance.
ACC 2024 will commence with a welcome address from Datuk Iskandar Mohd Nuli, executive chairman and CEO of Labuan IBFC Inc., followed by a keynote from Mr. Nik Mohamed Din Nik Musa, director general of the Labuan Financial Services Authority. Attendees will engage in discussions and presentations focused on the latest developments in captive insurance, including the evolving OECD BEPS 2.0 framework, the strategic importance of captive insurance, and innovative approaches to capital spending management.
The conference agenda includes the following.
- Panel discussion. The role of captive insurance within the evolving OECD BEPS 2.0 framework, with a focus on global reporting implications and strategic advantages.
- Dialogue. Examination of leading captive domiciles in the region, covering regulatory environments and strategies for optimizing risk management.
- Panel discussion. Leveraging captive insurance to manage employee benefits for greater control and cost efficiency.
