Registration Opens for Hybrid 2022 Bermuda Captive Conference
June 09, 2022
Registration is open for this year's Bermuda Captive Conference, which will be presented as a hybrid event September 12–14, with in-person activities at the Hamilton Princess in Bermuda.
This year's Bermuda Captive Conference will examine trends in the global captive insurance market and bring together industry professionals for thought leadership, education, and connectivity. The conference will feature educational sessions, a keynote presentation, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities.
This will be the first time since 2019 that attendees will have the opportunity to return to an in-person event, joining other corporate risk managers and captive insurance owners, insurance managers, insurance brokers, and other service providers. For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be streamed virtually through an interactive online platform.
The theme of this year's conference is Fusion, celebrating the synergy provided by the newly formed Bermuda Captive Network, of which the Bermuda Captive Conference is now a part. The new organization offers expanded membership and more diverse thought leadership, bringing the conference a wide variety of valuable panel discussions and dynamic speakers.
This year's conference also marks the 60th anniversary of Bermuda's captive insurance industry, and the conference will open with a kick-off session celebrating the milestone.
Other sessions at this year's Bermuda Captive Conference will examine the post-pandemic landscape, risk management and the cost of capital, legacy cell issues, reinsurance partnership with captives, the Latin American market, and other topics.
The conference will also include the Captive Hall of Fame awards, recognizing captive owner honorees from the past 3 years. The ceremony will include the announcement of the 2022 Fred Reiss Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes Bermuda individuals who have had a significant impact on the captive insurance industry.
