Theresa Carpenter, Amit Hapani Join Hylant Global Captive Solutions

Theresa Carpenter and Amit Hapani have joined Hylant Global Captive Solutions. Ms. Carpenter joins Hylant as senior captive consultant and manager, while Mr. Hapani joins as a chartered accountant.

According to a Hylant statement, Ms. Carpenter brings 16 years of experience to her new position. She has a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Champlain College and will work closely with captive insurance company owners to model and evaluate captive structures, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Mr. Hapani brings a background in financial accounting, auditing, and strategic planning to his work with Hylant clients, the statement said.

"We are excited to bring Theresa Carpenter and Amit Hapani to the Hylant Global Captive Solutions team," Anne Marie Towle, global captive solutions leader at Hylant, said in the statement. "Hylant intends to be a leader in the captive solutions space, and the additions of Theresa and Amit will aid our success on that front."

With the addition of Ms. Carpenter and Mr. Hapani, the Hylant Global Captive Solutions team has tripled in size in the 12 months since Ms. Towle joined Hylant in September 2019. The practice has undergone a rebranding and has experienced extensive growth, due in part to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Hylant statement said.

"Captives are seen as an innovative alternative opportunity right now with the hard market," said Ms. Towle. "Though a captive has always been a valuable strategy, COVID-19 has shown many businesses the opportunities a captive presents, so demand is increasing. We are meeting that increased demand by bringing on the best talent."
