United Educators Insurance Earns Top Workplace Recognition

United Educators Insurance (UE), a long-time risk retention group (RRG) licensed in Vermont, has been recognized as a top workplace for compensation and benefits by Energage, a research company that identifies high-quality workplaces and helps organizations improve employee engagement.

"Our incredibly talented employees are the secret to UE's position as the premier risk management and insurance company serving education," said Janice Abraham, the long-time president and CEO of UE.

UE has seen tremendous growth during Ms. Abraham's more than 25 years as the RRG's top executive. During that period, UE's gross written premium volume jumped to $376 million from just $40 million, while the number of UE's member institutions rose to about 1,600 from 900.

In addition, UE has received an A.M. Best excellent rating for 24 consecutive years.

UE was founded as an RRG in 1987.
