Vincent Barrett To Head AON's EMEA Captive Insurance Business

Aon Global Risk Consulting has appointed Dublin-based Vincent Barrett as regional managing director EMEA, overseeing its captive and insurance management business regional operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Mr. Barrett moved from his previous role as chief commercial officer, where he had global responsibility for Aon's White Rock group of protected cell and incorporated cell companies as well as the group's runoff operations and its insurance-linked securities (ILS) practice group.
He will continue to serve as account chair on a number of global client accounts while leading the captive business development team across EMEA.
Mr. Barrett has expertise in insurance accounting, alternative risk financing and captive insurance structures, rent-a-captives, protected cell companies, risk swapping entities, and special purpose vehicles.
Prior to joining Aon in 2007, Mr. Barrett worked with Marsh Management Services in Bermuda and Dublin.
In his new role, Mr. Barrett will continue reporting to John English.
