Voting Underway for Vermont Captive Insurance Association Board Spots

Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) members are currently voting on a slate of four potential board members submitted by the VCIA's Nominating Committee.

Voting members of the VCIA were to receive a Survey Monkey ballot on July 5 to vote on the four candidates. Votes are due by July 21. The new board members will serve 3-year terms beginning October 1.

VCIA board candidates submitted by the Nominating Committee include the following.

• Ryan Gadapee, shareholder, Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer
• Cameron MacArthur, founder and CEO, A.I. Insurance
• Ian Davis, senior vice president, captive insurance, M&T Bank
• Melinda Young, vice president of risk management, Alberici Constructors

The Vermont Captive Insurance Association board decided not to hold the organization's annual general meeting during the VCIA's annual conference in August. Instead, the association will hold a virtual event November 2 that will include reports from VCIA committees concerning such topics as the 2023 conference, the association's finances, and the VCIA's legislative efforts. In addition, the November 2 virtual event will include a "State of the Industry" panel discussion.
