Mr. Wegkamp, a Utah native, joined the Utah Insurance Department's Captive Division in April 2011. Prior to joining the department, he was an audit assurance associate for McGladrey and Pullen in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Wegkamp holds an associate of business degree from Dixie State College and both a bachelor's degree with a major in accounting and a master of accountancy degree from Southern Utah University. Mr. Wegkamp was appointed Utah's director of captive insurance in August 2016.
