Commissioner Mulready To Headline Western Region Captive Conference

The Western Region Captive Insurance Conference has announced its headline speaker is Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Glen Mulready. The conference is slated for April 15 to 17 at The Tulsa Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Elected to the state-wide position in 2019, Commissioner Mulready is Oklahoma's 13th insurance commissioner. He is also a former Oklahoma state legislator and experienced insurance professional.

During his 8 years as a state representative, he became the point person for the House of Representatives on insurance issues, where he helped pass legislation that expanded insurance options and attracted more insurance companies to operate within the state. Specifically, Mr. Mulready sponsored the Insurance Business Transfer (IBT) Act, a law now recognized as one of the most innovative pieces of insurance legislation nationally.
