Former Tennessee Captive Official Joshua Clark Joins Gallagher

Joshua Clark, a former state of Tennessee captive insurance regulator, has joined Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. as area vice president. He will work out of Gallagher's Nashville office and be involved in captive insurance issues.

Mr. Clark "brings a strong background of risk management and captive experience that will make our current team even stronger," said Jessica E. Govic, Gallagher area president, Tennessee.

"This newly developed role will focus on the structuring and development of captive solutions, as well as a relationship manager with our captive managing partners. Josh not only understands the captive landscape here in Tennessee but he has worked with numerous insureds and captives across the globe," Ms. Govic added.

Mr. Clark, a veteran insurance industry executive, joined the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance in 2020, where he was involved in attracting more captives to the state.

Prior to joining the Tennessee insurance department, Mr. Clark worked as a consultant for EXL Loss Control in Nashville.

As earlier reported, Mr. Clark was succeeded as a Tennessee captive regulator by Michael Schulz, a veteran insurance expert.
