New ICCIE Courses Begin in February and Beyond

The International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) has a variety of upcoming courses starting in February 2025 and beyond. These programs span core and elective topics.

The ICCIE core course Business Ethics in the Captive Insurance Industry starts on February 11, 2025, and includes three weekly Web conferences. Registration closes on February 4, 2025. Understanding the Intricacies of Cell Captives, an elective course, starts February 5, 2025. There will be four weekly Web conferences and an office hour. Register until January 29, 2025. For those interested in financial reporting, the elective course Accounting for Captives: Financial Reporting and Analysis begins on February 13, 2025. This course consists of three weekly Web conferences and an office hour (date to be determined), with registration ending on February 6, 2025.

March courses include the core course Investment Basics for Captives, beginning on March 17, 2025. Deadline for registering for the course, which includes four weekly Web conferences, is March 10, 2025. Forming and Operating a Captive, another core course, starts on March 18, 2025. This course features six weekly Web conferences, and participants must register by March 11, 2025. Another core course, Reinsurance and Other Risk Transfer Mechanisms, begins on March 19, 2025, and includes three weekly Web conferences. Registration is open until March 12, 2025. The elective course Healthcare Captives Overview starts on March 20, 2025, with three weekly Web conferences and an office hour. Interested participants should register by March 13, 2025.

April courses include the elective course Risk Retention Groups, starting April 9, 2025, with registration by April 2, 2025. There are four weekly Web conferences an an office hour planned for this course. Also in April, Employee Benefits and Captives begins April 17, 2025, and continues with three weekly Web conferences and an office hour. Deadline to register is April 10, 2025.

In May, the ICCIE core course Predicting Risk and an Introduction to Actuarial Science begins on May 7, 2025, and spans three weekly Web conferences. Registration closes on April 30, 2025. The elective course Captive Claims Management Best Practices and Reinsurance starts on May 15, 2025, featuring three weekly Web conferences and an office hour on June 5, 2025. Registration ends on May 8, 2025. Another core course, An Introduction to Alternative Risk Financing Mechanisms, begins May 28, 2025. Registration is due by May 21, 2025, and the course includes four weekly Web conferences.
