The 2025 Western Region Captive Insurance Conference (WRCIC) will include a special "fireside chat" featuring the insurance commissioners from the conference's four member states.

Commissioners Angela Nelson of Missouri, Scott Kipper of Nevada, Glen Mulready of Oklahoma, and Jon Pike of Utah will come together May 20 during the conference in Salt Lake City.

WRCIC organizers described the session as a rare and powerful opportunity to hear directly from the regulatory leaders shaping the future of captive insurance in the western region.

Other sessions during this year's WRCIC will address such topics as public entity captives, parametric insurance, captive investments, harnessing the power of captive data, mentoring the next generation of captive insurance leaders, and stop-loss captives.

Additional sessions will examine captive taxation, claims and risk management, risk distribution, and captive insurance hot topics.

The 2025 WRCIC is scheduled for May 19–21 at the Marriott Downtown City Creek in Salt Lake City. For more information or to register for the event, visit the WRCIC 2025 website.
